5 Subtle Ways to Take Back Control


Stop letting your subconscious conditioning control your path. You weren't put here to be controlled and sure weren't put here to settle for less. The universe is a vast expanse, and you have a little piece just for you, so use it to your advantage and take control of yourself.


1. Break Up With Your Subconscious Habits


It isn't them; it is you. I know you don't want to hear that, but you are allowing them to control you. You cannot change them, and you'll find yourself running in circles if you try. What you can do is control you, get out of the situation. I can guarantee taking on the responsibility of separation will prove to be quite the stress reliever.


2. Don't Grieve Your Losses, just walk away


As you break away, they will try to draw you in, thinking they are smarter, more fit to run your life, just plain out better. Don't grieve the loss, and don't allow them to entice you with what you have been comfortable with. Obviously, you need to change, and that is why you are frustrated and probably why you are reading this blog.


3. Take Back Control by Controlling Yourself.


Mindfulness is a great way to learn how to regain control. By teaching yourself to become one with the chair, you are also showing yourself that you are in control. This also goes with how you react to any situation.


When someone bothers you, and you react with anger, you have just given them control. Instead, say to yourself, "I do not accept that" and smile and walk away. You can always walk away. This isn't a sign of weakness; this is a sign of you being in control of your reactions and your sanity.


4. Don't Ask, Just Do It Already

Don't be an ask-hole—someone who asks advice just for attention never with the intention of using the advice given. Don't reach out to people always asking for help with things you can obviously do alone.


Learning to get stuff done on your own is liberating. Read instructions, take control of your space. Now, this doesn't mean never ask for help; it just means that you don't always need it. Just help yourself and decipher between being an ask hole and rally needing some help


5. Who Asked You Anyway?


Opinions are like A-holes, everyone has one and, well, most stink. So with that, take what people think with a grain of salt. Use that salt to season that opinion and eat it up using it as energy just to be you without all that outside interference.
